"From my own view point, one thing that has thrilled my heart regarding the Perspectives course, which we have held here in the Winnipeg area on a number of occasions, is to visit the mission booths at Winnipeg Missionfest, and to see them "manned" by so many Perspectives alumni who are today serving with various mission agencies in both homeland and overseas ministries."

I really enjoyed Perspectives and much to my surprise I grew in my Christian walk because of it. One thing is clear though; if you don’t ever want to become involved in Mission then don’t take Perspectives. There is no way to take this course without leaving with a heart for Mission.
As a pastor and a member of a very mission-minded organization, the Perspectives course has challenged me greatly and there is no doubt that God was speaking to me through the instructors and the readings.
I do want to say that I really like the course and have found it very enlightening, informative, and in many ways, life changing.
This week’s class has challenged me to explore the possibility of taking in a Somalian refugee into our home. We are in the process of praying and seeking God’s guidance.
As a pastor, I want to expose my congregation to Perspectives and have us become more aware of the world around us and the place of individuals and the church in world missions.
All the speakers were very interesting and very well prepared. The lessons were very interesting and have challenged me to become more involved in missions.
I loved the fact that the speakers had done “hands-on” mission work! It lends much more credibility to what they are teaching.
The key thing I’m beginning to understand more through the readings and lectures is that God works supernaturally through ordinary people.
Probably the thing that most struck me is the ministry I can have here. I thought “Hey, I could be a mobilizer or a welcomer”. Those were two areas that struck me. I’ve been so focused on being a goer that I never thought of other areas that I can be involved in.
For the first time, I have somewhat of a hand on third world development from both a secular and Christian perspectives.
It is so amazing the many different places we can be involved in but we don’t have to go to India!
I really can’t explain (specifically) which impact Perspectives has made on my life. I definitely want to be a mobilizer while in Winnipeg and eventually a goer. Nevertheless so many things have made an impression on me!
I took the course not knowing what to expect. All I sensed within myself was that I had a heart for missions. Perspectives has given me so much more insight and clarification of what my role is as a World Christian. I have found a peace and joy and have a different `Perspective`.
I knew Missions was important but I didn’t realize how very important. I was a bit confused as to what to do with missions or where to go. But God used this course to give me peace with what I am doing now.
It is my desire, because of Perspectives, and what I have grasped from the course, that I will be much improved in the area of prayer regards Missions and Missionaries. And to also be ready and available to serve wherever He needs me. To God be the Glory.
This course has stretched my Perspective of Missions. It has definitely challenged me to be a World Christian.
I learned that Missions is not about me and my involvement, it’s about God’s Holiness and awesomeness; that’s what should motivate me.
The biggest evidence of the impact that Perspectives is having on me is when people ask me, ``what’s new``, invariably I describe what the course has done for me. It is a must for all Christians.
For me, Perspectives is foundational and has brought a new era into my life. I now willingly seek to ``March to God’s drum`` and reach the people He has chosen to be my ``Mission``.
To Go or not to Go, that was my Question. Perspectives made me rethink my attitude; it’s about God and what He wants me to do. No more excuses.
Perspectives helped me to learn the mind of Christ, especially to be a ``learner`` when with others from different cultures before I talk to them about Christ. I have learned how to reach out to other cultures as Christ would have.
Perspectives showed me the Task Remaining and that our God is a Missionary God and that He can use my passion, desires and gifting to fulfill His plan.
